Evils, ills, diseases, and burdensome labor that mankind had not ever known escaped from a box which Hephaestus had given to Pandora.
Pandora was frightened. She quickly closed the box. But it's too late.....
All those things that mankind had never known previously were gone with the wind before she could do anything.
Pandora's story makes me know that in our lives, in every breath we take, there are happiness and unhapiness are mixed in the air. While we are smiling and laughing, we still can not escape from pain or hungry.
When we fall into agonized moment, we only focus on what we are feeling and forget to look around.
Like Pandora, she's frightened and guilt for what she had done and kept being weepy so that she could not hear a voice of something.
Me, as well....
As being disappointed at myself for something, I fall into a depressed moment for awhile, forget to try to find some other ways to reach to what I want.
I read about Pandora and her box since I was a little girl. I recall that there was another thing that was left behind.
The last thing that was left; Pandora closed the box before it could have chance to come out.
Somehow Pandora was weepy so much that she could not hear its voice?
Or somehow she heard it but she was too scared of it would be another thing that might cause mankind pain so she decided not to free it?
However, I am sure that if we use it in the right way, not too much, not too less, instead of Pandora, it would be worth for us to open the box, hold it with us and share it with each other.
The last thing at the bottom of Pandora's box...
It is called Hope.
